Just some old(er) cats learning new, musical tricks in and around the historic Collar City of Troy, NY

Collar City Cats formed in 2025 after several aspiring musicians met at Troy Music Academy's adult "Stage Ready" program led by Mike Iwanos, a prominent local singer and guitarst (check out his Allman Brothers tribute band Muscle Shoals). The students (Monica, Mark, Joe and Brendan) quickly became friends and continued to make music together after the program ended. Kevin soon joined on lead guitar when he saw how much fun we were having. Together our musical focus has been classic rock, Motown and pop - music we grew up with on the radio...Tom Petty, Pink Floyd, Tedeschi Trucks, Fleetwood Mac, STP, David Bowie, Talking Heads, and Amy Winehouse just to name a few. We continue to expand our set list and encourage everyone to suggest new tunes to add to the show...making music to make you feel good!
